  • Wood Species

    • We make our custom dovetail drawers using only the finest Appalachian clear maple and other additional wood types, sourced from some of the nation's most highly-regarded lumber mills.

    We maintain the following wood types in stock:
    • Soft Maple (1/2" and 5/8" thickness)
    • Walnut (1/2" thickness)
    • White Oak (1/2" thickness)

    Other wood types and thicknesses not listed above are available at request, but may require longer than standard lead times.

    Dovetail Drawer Box Dimensions
    • Drawer Height: enter any height from 2” to 12” in 1/32” increments. Additional charges apply for drawers greater than 12” in height.
    • Drawer Width and Depth: enter any width and depth greater than 4” in 1/32” increments. 
    Wood Thickness Options
    • Soft maple is available in stock at 1/2" and 5/8" thickness.
    • Walnut and White Oak are available in stock at 1/2" thickness.
    • Additional wood thicknesses not held in stock are available at request, but may require longer than standard lead times. 
  • Drawer Bottoms

    • Our dovetail drawer box bottoms are crafted from sturdy, high-quality plywood materials, ensuring durability and a flawless finish for any project, adding both function and elegance.

    Drawer Box Bottom Options
    • We offer 1/4" and 3/8" thickness bottoms in stock for maple and walnut.
    • White Oak is available in stock for 3/8" thickness only.
    • Our standard bottom groove placement is 1/2" from the bottom of the drawer box.
  • Assembly and Finish

    • Standard dovetail drawers arrive fully assembled, each receiving meticulous hand sanding and a hand-applied lacquer finish post-assembly for an unparalleled smooth finish and flat, flush top.

    Drawer Box Assembly 

    Standard dovetail drawers are made fully assembled, Unassembled dovetail drawers are available upon request. 

    Drawer Box Sanding

    After assembly, drawer sides are run through a side sanding belt, followed by two rounds of top sanding by hand to create a flat, flush top, and a final edge break post-finish. 

    Drawer Box Finish 

    After drawer box assembly and initial prep sanding, we apply two coats of a water-based, clear lacquer by hand to ensure a consistent and smooth finish. 

  • Drawer Slides
    • Undermount Slide Specifications
    • Drawers can be notched for all makes of undermount slides. The standard notch width is 2” for most slides, but custom, wider notching is also available.
    • Typical drawer depths for undermount slides are 9”, 12”, 15”, 18”, 21”, 24”, 27”, 30”.
    Side mount Slide Specifications
    • Drawers are not notched when side mount slides are used.
    • Typical drawer depths for side mount slides are 10”, 12”, 14”, 16”, 18”, 20”, 22”, 24”, 26”, 28”, 30”.
    Drawer Slide Specifications
    • We offer multiple hardware options for purchase with drawers.
    • Select which hardware you would like with your order, and we will determine assign the corresponding slide length and quantities based on your order dimensions and specifications.

    Before submitting your quote or order request, you must first determine the appropriate measurements. Our drawer order dimensions are based on the measurements for the actual drawers, not the cabinet openings. In order to determine the correct drawer dimensions, make the appropriate deductions from the cabinet opening based on the drawer thickness and hardware pairing.

    To order dovetail drawers, head to our Drawers Order page to access our simple, quote and order form. Select that you are requesting a quote (or order), input your information, then add your drawer box information. For all new customers, we will always return a quote first, even if ‘order’ is selected.

    Quotes are delivered via email, where you may approve and convert to an order by clicking the ‘Approve Quote’ button within the email. Once approved, new customers will be prompted to enter their payment information directly into our secure payment processor. Once an order is confirmed by Eagle Woodworking, you will receive an Order Acknowledgement via email. 

  • Track Order

    • Track Order Progress

    Eagle Woodworking sends updates on your order progress as it moves through our production stages: order acknowledged, order scheduled for production, order in production, order complete.

    We also provide an online portal to view and manage all your quotes, orders, and invoices as well as make payments.

  • Delivery

    • Delivery

    Once your order is complete, Eagle Woodworking will package your drawers for delivery, taking extra precautions to ensure nothing is damaged during shipping. We offer an internal Eagle Delivery service or customer pick-up for local customers.

    For customers outside of our internal delivery area, we will ship via small parcel or pallet, whichever is cheaper for the customer.

Where can I get pricing?

You can submit a quote request on our Order Dovetail Drawers page. We return quotes within 1-2 hours during business hours and promptly the following business day if submitted after hours. 

What is the typical lead time?

Our standard lead time for drawers and drawer inserts is 1-2 weeks. 

What wood types are available for drawers?

All our custom inserts are available in our standard wood types of soft maple, white oak and walnut. Requests for other wood types can be accommodated but may require longer than normal lead times. 

How do I measure for drawers?

Is everything custom?

All of our products are fully custom, made to order.

How does shipping work?

 We ship anywhere in the country. There are two main ways to significantly reduce shipping costs:

  • Place a large order or series of orders we can palletize (10-15+ drawers)
  • We provide local delivery within ~90 miles of Lawrence, MA
Do you have anyone on staff that Speaks Spanish?

Yes, our office staff is fluent in Spanish.
