Built-In Dividers Made to Your Layout
Custom Dividers are built directly into a custom dovetail drawer box, so the box and compartment layout arrive as one unit. Select Drawer Option F when the job calls for a specific arrangement instead of one of Eagle's standard insert layouts.You determine the number, size, and placement of the compartments. A reference image or drawing gives Eagle the arrangement to build.
Custom Dividers can also combine insert styles in one drawer. For example, you can specify knife storage on one side and cutlery compartments on the other.
Divider Thickness, Height & Construction
Standard dividers are 3/8 inch thick and fixed in place. Insert height typically finishes 1/2 to 1 inch below the drawer wall.
Full-height dividers are available as a custom request. Because the height changes the layout from the standard construction, show it in the drawing.
Removable dividers are also available by request.
Choose the Drawer Box for Your Divider Layout
Every Custom Dividers order includes a made-to-size dovetail drawer box. Maple, white oak, and walnut are the standard wood species. Other species can be requested and may require a longer lead time.
Maple drawer sides are available in 1/2-inch and 5/8-inch thicknesses. White oak and walnut are stocked in 1/2-inch thickness, with 5/8-inch material available by request.
Drawer boxes are fully assembled by default. Eagle's standard finish is clear pre-catalyzed lacquer on the drawer sides, with the front and back unfinished. Unassembled or fully unfinished drawers are available by request.
Measure the Finished Drawer Box
Enter the outside height, width, and depth of the finished drawer box on the order form. Use the drawer measuring instructions to calculate those dimensions from the cabinet opening for undermount or sidemount slides.
The divider layout is then planned within those finished box dimensions. Show any clearance or compartment requirement that could affect the arrangement in your drawing.
Plan and Submit the Divider Layout
Every Custom Dividers order requires a reference image or drawing. Eagle requests the drawing when you approve the quote, before the order moves into production.
Show the placement of each divider and include any dimensions needed to define the compartments. Use the Notes field to identify the applicable drawer line and describe full-height dividers, removable dividers, mixed insert styles, or another nonstandard detail.
You can attach supporting files through the Drawers Order Form or send them to info@eaglewoodworking.com. Eagle reviews the layout with the drawer-box specifications before production.
Respecify the Layout for Each New Order
Submit the custom divider layout again with each new order. A previous layout does not automatically carry forward unless the new order is a remake of an existing order.
Keep the approved drawing with the job record so you can submit the same specifications later. If the next project needs a revised arrangement, update the drawing and identify the changes in Notes.
If a standard Cutlery, Utensil, Knife Block, Spice, or combination layout fits the job, review Eagle's other built-in drawer insert layouts before selecting Drawer Option F.

Our drawer order dimensions are based on the measurements for the actual drawers, not the cabinet openings.
To determine drawer dimensions, deductions from the cabinet opening are required based on the drawer thickness and hardware pairing.
Request a Quote
Visit our Drawer Order page to fill out the quote and order form. Enter your details and drawer box information.
New customers will receive a quote first, regardless of selecting 'order'.
Select Drawer Option F to add a Custom Drawer Dividers to your drawer order.
Confirm Order
Quotes are delivered via email, where you may approve and convert to an order by clicking the ‘Approve Quote’ button within the email.
Once approved, new customers will be prompted to enter their payment information directly into our secure payment processor.
Once an order is confirmed by Eagle Woodworking, you will receive an Order Acknowledgement via email.
Track Order Progress
Eagle Woodworking sends updates on your order progress as it moves through our production stages: order acknowledged, order scheduled for production, order in production, order complete.
We also provide an online portal to view and manage all your quotes, orders, and invoices as well as make payments.
Delivery
Once your order is complete, Eagle Woodworking will package your drawers for delivery, taking extra precautions to ensure nothing is damaged during shipping. We offer an internal Eagle Delivery service or customer pick-up for local customers.
For customers outside of our internal delivery area, we will ship via small parcel or pallet, whichever is cheaper for the customer.
